Introduction

Welcome to Team Home Depot 

Our purpose is to apply the knowledge we've gathered in class to break down the processes and operations of The Home Depot, Watchung NJ. We will cover topics such as their competitive priorities, process analysis and strategies, their total quality management analysis, lean systems, and quality performance. Our main focus will be on lean systems and inventory management systems. To conclude we will address some problems our Home Depot faces and what our recommendations will be to possibly remedy them.

          Excellent customer service We don't just aim to provide products and services of value for our customers but we believe in going above and beyond to assure our customers are equipped with the proper tools and knowledge to get the job done. Our employees know the right questions to ask to make sure our customers leave with everything they need to be prepared and confident for their project. 

           Giving back It is not just about what we sell but who we can reach with our tools and talents. The Home Depot runs countless volunteer projects that assist the lives of our communities and offer the necessary resources where we can. Some of these resources we've provided have even saved the lives of our dearest customers. 

      Building strong relationships We believe it is important to keep a strong working relationship based on trust, respect, honesty, and integrity here within our employees, customers, vendors, and communities. We can work between organizations to bridge the gaps of communications to help solve problems. 

     Doing the right thing Good judgement is practice within our organization to ensure the trust and reputation of not just doing a good job, but doing the job the right way. Sometimes this means going beyond your day to day tasks but here at The Home Depot we believe in going the extra step to do what's right.

     Respect for all people Every single one of our associates is to be treated with respect in an environment where they do not feel harassed or discriminated no matter who they are. Our employees then try to mirror this belief in the respect and services we try to provide for our customers as well.

Home Depot's very own associate, Drew Chabot, from Toms River, NJ was the project leader of the famous "Restore the Shore" project that Home Depot partnered with to help our very own NJ towns after Super Storm Sandy wrecked havoc on our shores.
